Funeral services for Mrs. Betty June Colson, 77, of Butler were held Sunday, July 29, 2012 at 2 P.M. from the Chapel of Bumpers Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Sorrells and Rick Hutchinson officiating. Burial followed in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Colson passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. She was a retired social worker for the State of Alabama.

Survivors include her sons Randy Colson (Amy) of Butler; Robert Colson (Sherry) of Brandon, MS; brothers Billy Kennedy of Spartanburg, SC; Joe Kennedy of Lake City, FL; and Jim Kennedy of Atlanta, GA; sister Peggy Carter of Lake City, FL; and 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU nurses at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Pallbearers were Patrick Robinson, Christopher Habig, Ronald Martin, Joe Gibson, C.Q. Smith, and Hank Doherty.

Honorary Pallbearers were Sid Reid, Billy Ray Odom, Lee McPhearson, and Wade Hampton.
